Hey Y'all. I'm looking to build up a solid set of replacement parts for my 00 Excursion Limited. Any input is appreciated. What parts need to be replaced at what intervals? What failures have you seen and what spare parts should I keep handy, especially since good parts, not Chinese crap are harder and harder to find these days.
Sorry guys very valid point. 2000 Excursion 7.3 4WD

Reason: Added year, engine and drivetrain
Since so many parts are engine and drivetrain specific it would help if you shared which engine you have and if RWD or 4X4.
In my 11 years of ownership the only parts that I've HAD TO replace were a fuel pump, steering stabilizer, spark plugs and boots, brake pads and a front caliper.
With currently around 170k miles, I've replaced the front sway bar bushings/links, lower ball joints, plugs w/wires, and 1 coil. I replaced the fuel sender but as I am having the same problems again, I am guessing there was nothing wrong with the original. I now carry a spare DENSO coil and drive belt with me.
edit: I also changed the shocks when I 1st got the Ex.
Fuel tank pickup
Rear ac lines if you can find them in a salvage yard
Rear window motors
Front axle inner axles
A spare wheel hub and bearing
Fan blower resistor
Vacuum pump
Brake lines
There's all kinds of stuff, but gotta know which motor
I've had trouble with 2 fuse boxes going Tango Uniform on me (took down vacuum pump and all my A/C controls for a month - I live in the desert). If you can find a spare ($20 at a salvage yard) I'd take it. They don't make aftermarket ones that I can find.
