First let me introduce myself. My name is Donnie And have never been on any forums. I have a 92 Ford F-150xlt 4x4 5.0 engine. I built a 95 HO mustang engine with E303 cam, bored out and head work, 70mm throttle body. Always has run rich and can't lean it out. Recently changed complete harness under the hood and 95 F 150 pcm. Did not change the harness to the E40d tranny. This was done to upgrade to Mass Air because the speed density setup would not adequately control the modified engine and I would also gain MPG. I've been turning wrenches for forty years but my week spot is electrical. My problem. The OD switch quit working before the harness swap so I decided to finally fix it. Replaced switch and everything but for ****s and grins I checked the supply plug to the switch. I'm hot on two of the three wires and that makes no sense to me. I have R/y hot and W/g that is also hot. Can't find a good diagram of this wiring. Anyone know where the OD switch wiring comes from? I/m thinking the tranny? I'm sure it controls the lockup torque converter solenoid. any help would be appreciated
Welcome to FTE.
Questions, especially as deep as this one, are not normally answered in the introduction forum. Take your question(s), to the "Older, Classic and Antique Trucks" section, or the "Performance, Engines and Troubleshooting", section. You'll get good, solid answers in either forum.
Stop in and join the West Virginia state chapter too. Great bunch of guys and you might even find someone, close by, that has experience in the electrical areas.
