Is it just me or do you feel almost dirty after dealing with these guys? SiriusXm has to have the worst customer service going. Slimy, shady business practices. Almost like dealing with an old time shady car dealer.

Gotta threaten to walk and actually follow through if they don't deliver. Last go round they were trying to hit me for $21, and then $17 when I refused the $21.
At the time there was a $5 deal being advertised everywhere. I told the person to put me in touch with someone who could offer that. If not, we'll hang up now and you can just shut the service off the second my trial was done.
I got the $5 deal, which is $6.06 after taxes and royalty fee.

Yup I know that but it's just a pain in the *** having to go through all the song and dance. Just trying to cancel the service on the truck that I just traded in when I picked up the new one yesterday was a pain in the rear. At least with the new Ford I don't need Sirius for the traffic which I did on the old Chevy.

Last trade I just had them suspend my service while I used the trial on the new truck. Then I resumed when the trial was over. I didn't want the new owner of my traded in truck riding around on my SXM tab. It wasn't as much of a circus as I expected to get it done.
But yeah, they're a huge pain in the *** to deal with.

Good idea as I will have that same scenario.

They will add whatever you have left on the old truck onto the new one to start AFTER whatever trial period you have ends.

Looks like I will too. Build date and VIN issued for new truck.

I go through the same thing with Allstate every year for my Roadside service. I think this year the bill came in at $149, and I ended up paying $69. I have to do this every year. It's the same with SiriusXM. I don't know if I would quite call it a necessary evil, but it's close.

Just be persistent when you call to cancel and they’ll offer you a great deal.

That’s what I did almost two weeks ago.

I ended up with every channel via in car or streaming, every channel on my iMac,iPad, or iPhone for $8.50 per month for 2 years.

That's a good deal. I generally get music only. I've had everything in the past at different points and found that I just didn't use anywhere near what's offered.

hmmmm, maybe I'm the oddball but I've always had a good experience. I find online chat to be the most effective, start with the IA bot and see where you get and then get a rep. I got a year free with the truck then they hooked me at $60/year special. Well that special ran out and I was at $22/month... went through online chat and within 15 mins was back to $60/year and they credited my $22 payment to it. Now I still hate the whole game and the idea that I have to do it all over again next year but whatever...

Yep, I use chat and tell them I want to continue paying what I've been paying. They say OK and it's done. So easy a caveman could do it.....

I'll add never give them your CC info. Have them send you an invoice and pay by check...

Or if you don't want to write a check and have electronic bill pay with your financial institution, you can set that up also. Then you still have control over when and how much they get paid.
