I have searched, but haven't found what seems I need, so if this is a repeat, I apologize.
2015 F350 Diesel, Crew, Flat Bed (likely Cab and Chassis Config).
Purchased truck a year ago. Found out recently horn not working, and found it is unplugged by the horn itself.
Connect the plug, and horn blows.
From everything I have read on this forum, and other locations, it seems likely the pad is malfunctioning.
I contacted ford through the ford-parts.com website.
They indicated no separate pad. Indicated to me part number 14A664. However they would not confirm this was the engagement part for the horn.
I don't want to take this all apart if it is not the correct piece.
Could be the horn relay is bad or there's a short in the circuit between the relay and steering wheel. Start with the relay. Swap it with one you know works. If horn works only when you turn it on then you found the problem. If it doesn't, keep working back toward the steering wheel until you find the problem.
