Does anyone know if/how you can make your trailer camera come up automatically when you shift to reverse? You would think the system would know that you have a trailer hooked up and default to that camera instead of the trucks, or at least have a setting for this.
No way to do it. And when you have the trailer connected and manually turn on the trailer camera to use as a rearview mirror, it will turn it off every time you come to a stop. In most cases just when you are watching it to make sure the person behind you stops.
On the 1 brief tow I have done with my new drw the aux trailer camera stayed on when I came to a stop. On my previous 2018 I installed the nav tv module so Icould have the trailer camera stay on while driving, so having it stay on with the new truck is a step in the right direction. With the nav tv the camera went back to the last camera used when you took the truck out of park, which was very handy when trying to place your 5th wheel in the precise spot that you have been told it needs to be in. Can't see why that could not be a software fix for sure. With the new sync 4, I would like to be able to have the option to choose which camera to have displayed and not the just the in bed camera. That way I could have my trailer camera on while driving and still have the map up as well for when we are travelling to new areas.

I thought I saw another post where they said this was possible.
