2016 F150 Limited

So I made a trade today... Swapped my 2017 F250 Lariat 6.2L for a 2016 F150 Limited. 56k miles on the Superduty, 39k on the little brother.
I really didn't need the capabilities of the 3/4 ton so it made sense to get something a little better on the gas, with a nice ride, lower miles & a few more features...

I think it's a pretty sharp looking truck as is. I'm thinking of getting LED fog lights to install & a leveling kit right away.
Any other ideas?

So the wheels are actually Mickey-Thompson, it just has Roush center caps for some reason lol. But I still like them as well.

Nice! You'll enjoy the EcoBoost. Last year for the excellent 6 speed and the gen 1.5 EcoBoost.

I agree. Those M/T wheels do look nice.

Looks good as is.

If you want to stay OEM, I have a 2016 Lariat and I added the OEM LED fog lights from a 2017 Platinum SD.
My halogen fog lights were the same as on your Limited so the swap will be the same.

Also, if the previous owner didn’t do this and if you’re an iPhone user, you’re going to have to swap out the USB module to use Apple CarPlay on the SYNC 3 system.

I hope this info helps you out.

Right now I'm looking at Baja Designs for the fog lights.

I'm an android person, but I am having an issue with the USB module - it's giving me the "Inserted USB device isn't responding" error message when I plug my phone in. I tried a little rubbing alcohol to clean the ports out & it worked for a couple minutes but then acted up again, so I may need to change that module anyways - do you have a link to the correct one? I've looked a little & wanted to make sure I got the right part.... Thanks

I have best luck with the oem usb cable that came with the phone...cheap usb cables seem to cause a lot of problems.

I do agree that cheap cables aren't a good option, but the OEM isn't an option... Google sells their phones with USB-c on both ends of the cables, unless there's a module out there that has a USB-C female connection instead of USB-A like standard..

Funny that you mentioned The Retrofit Source.

I was over at their facility here in Atlanta last Friday.

I don’t have a link but the prices are all over the place online.
Just make sure you get it from an actual Ford dealer.
I got mine back in 2016 from Fairway Ford on their eBay website and it was less than $50.00 dollars with free shipping.

You can do an online search for SYNC 3 Apple CarPlay USB module. No worries, it’ll still work for Android phones.

Make sure you specify which one you want because one comes with blue lights which will match your dash and they have another one that comes with white lights.

Got the one from Fairway yesterday & after a quick trip to advance auto for a trim removal tool kit it was a quick swap & everything is working correctly..
From my experience with my brother & friend's trucks we've done - Retrofit Source is the only option for lights. Their support & customer service is 2nd to none!
