One other question. My doors originally had the stainless trim around the windows. The trim is now gone, I am looking for a decent original set. Pm me if you have any for sale. Anyone try a set of the stainless reproduction trim?

Hi John , yes i was asking you.. i found a set actually so lucky.. have you found side hood emblems?

 

Yes I have the side emblems that were still on the truck ,all the Mercury letters but the C were still on it too and bought the C from a friend of mine..

I just found the side hood emblems.
can I ask you for a favor? Can you measure out where the holes are to attach the emblem?

 

I'll do it tomorrow , the hood in stored in my shed at the moment and there is a few things in the way of it..

Measuring from the rear edge of the hood is 6 1/4" .....11 3/4".....17 1/8"

.................................................. ......................4 1/8"........3 1/2"......3 1/2" measured up from the hard bend of the hood

If you have a Mercury hood the holes should be there unless you have a Ford you're making into a Mercury

hummm something for me to research.
the previous owner was not sure on my truck as it was 35 yrs ago he did the paintwork.

 

The side emblems for the 56's are completely different between Ford and Mercury..
