I have a 2006 F550 6.0 ZF6 all stock. I recently installed a new turbo due to wear/shaft play on the old functioning turbo. Worked better than ever. 300 miles later my VGT stopped functioning and i have practically no boost unless i rev it to the moon / am in 6th gear creating a lot of drive pressure.
i reinstalled old turbo thinking the possibility of failed new parts and have same results. Turbo was not stuck.
i have no boost leaks and no exhaust leaks.
i am getting accurate MAP, MAF, EBP, IAT readings
My EBP reading is high in reference to the desired value, i imagine due to the turbo being more of a blockage than anything at this point.
i am getting VGT readings between 80 and maybe 30 depending on load and rpm, i get these readings with the VGT plugged in or unplugged.
KOEO i am getting 11.5 volts to the VGT command wire and have 4 ohms of resistance between terminals on VGT actuator.
Any ideas? I feel as if ive been thorough and am running out of options
