No fuel pressure

Hey All,
I have a 2001 F550 V10 automatic 2WD 100,000 miles.
The bed is off, so I figured it’s the perfect time to replace the fuel pump/filter.
Got the Bosch pump installed, started up just fine. Ran for about a week, then *poof* no fuel pressure.
There’s no sound from the fuel pump with the key on.
I have a P0232 code.
Checked the international switch.
Checked the fuses under the hood and dash, all in good shape with electricity flowing on both sides of the fuses.
I replaced the PCM relay under the hood in case that was the issue, no dice. Same with the PCM diode.
The wiring looks good, no obvious signs of damage.

Any suggestions?

thanks,
Robert S

Checked the international switch.
What did you find? Australia, Brazil, Turkey, perhaps?

Try checking the inertia switch for switched battery power power during the 2-3 second priming cycle when the key is first turned from OFF to RUN. A correct reading is battery voltage (~12 V) for that duration. An incorrect reading will be something between 0 and 7 volts, usually around 6-6.5 volts.

Report results.

Gotta love spellcheck.

I’ll look at the “international” inertia switch today.

I can’t find my voltmeter, so I swapped in a working (off my f150) inertia switch, still won’t start.
I put the F550 inertia switch into the f150, it fired right up.

So I’m guessing the inertia switch is good.

I tried jumping from the battery to the pink/black wire on the inertia switch, which should have powered the fuel pump, but it didn’t work.

Did I fry a new fuel pump somehow?
-I did try to start the truck with a dead battery, using a jumper. But I did replace the PCM power relay when I replaced the bad battery.

What’s next to check?

Thanks for the help-
Robert S

Check and find your voltmeter. You're stumbling around in the dark without it.

To reiterate what @projectSHO89 said, you'll need to find a multimeter..

You'll want to verify you're getting 12V at the fuel pump (or even just at the inertia switch). If you are, then you'll want to ohm out the pump itself. A member just went through this last week and the pump ended up being bad (high resistance reading).

Have you tried hitting the bottom of the tank with a rubber mallet? Just curious if that would kick start the pump...

That means that at least one of the following is the issue:

1. Open PK/BK wire to fuel pump
2. Defective fuel pump
3. Open ground circuit for fuel pump
