226 piston advice
Probably have gotten ahead of my machinist on our 226 rebuild a little, but I think the bores will clean up at 30 over. I have NOS 7ha and NOS 0ha pistons, and nos expander ring sets for both. Reading the manual, expander types are not for a new bore, I should use snap type. Should I use the expanders anyway or just move to new 30 egge pistons with new rings from them?

I guess the question is, are the ring sets made to be used both with and without the expanders? Maybe the gurus on Ford Barn could say. My engine has Hastings rings that are the steel rail type, which the manual says are for very tapered cylinders.
