I didn't want to highjack Abe's thread . Here is a set of smudge pots my Dad gave me. He thought that they belonged with my truck.
They are stamped Toledo Truck Flare on the top.

Very nice! I'm guessing not many of our trucks have a set like that. It's a great period correct thing to have, especially as a remembrance from your dad. It's good seeing your avatar up on the board. I hope you are doing some better health wise.
Thanks, Jim. My Dad was one of my biggest supporters. He was always checking on the progress of my truck. I did get to drive it to his house several times without the front fenders, but he didn't live to see it finished. I am looking at lower back surgery in a month or so,I should then be able to put some more miles on it and work on it again.

Thanks for the little update. It looks like you and Bob Jones will be recovering from surgery at about the same time. We'll all have to remember you both in our prayers. Spinal surgery has to be a scary thing to prepare for. Hopefully both of you will be blessed with a good outcome and a chance to get back to doing again some of the things that have been difficult for you lately.
