Yes electrical wire is what I use also tire installation lube works very well and doesn't dry out as quickly . It is however a little messy to clean up

I installed mine last summer and had my son help. We used a rope tool, glass cleaner for lube, and a plastic trim prying tool to help motivate the rubber as the rope worked around. It will seem too tight and then it will pop in. Wrap the rope around so both ends meet in the middle on the bottom and then work each side a couple inches at a time.

Congrats....the windshield is the scary one.....mine is a 55 so the windshield doesnt wrap around like the 56., and i was nervous doing it,

Windshield is In

Finally got windshield in, son in law came for supper and help me for about an hour, lots of soap, pushing in and down, and a pick tool.
next get the cab back on the frame.🍷👍
