I know, I know, this topic has been beat to death here. I have googled a bazillion forums, and can't find a solution. Obviously, cruise does not work. All fuses are good, horn and cigarette lighter work. Switches in wheel are working, checked them with an ohm meter. Power and ground to servo, don't remember which pins, but did confirm power and ground.
What else do I need to check?
Thanks!
There is a cruise control shut off switch mounted on the front of the master cylinder. It's supposed to kill the cruise when the brake pedal is depressed.
I received a recall on that switch many years ago because there were claims of brake fluid leaking through the switch and into the connector. It would be worth a look.
Before I found the 3rd brake light wire, I had wired in the brake light on the top back of my topper to the brake light wiring behind the rear brake light wiring. SO,, I didn't use cruse that much but when I did several weeks later No WORKKEY. If you haven't taped that brake light wiring then you may be left with the issues stated above. Let us know what happens when you track it down.
If all of the inputs are good, both power and signals you have a bad servo. I have had this happen several times. Opened up the servo module, no obvious signs of damage but no worky. Swapped in a replacement, good to go.
Just to update, I replacede the orange switch on my master cylinder, with the black one from oreillys, bam cruise control works! Apparently after the recall, switch went bad. It was a $23 part that fixed my cruise that hasn't worked for 2 years. Hope this helps someone.
