Question subwoofer help

Hey ive been looking into getting some subs for my 92 ford explorer. I think ive narrowed it down to kicker l7s 12, or infinity kappa perfect 12.1s. what do you guys think? I listen to mostly rap but some rock. I want bass. also if you guys have any other models i should look at. thanks

adam

i would avoid the l7s as they tend to blow. the kappas will pound and i think you would like the way they sound. possibly go with (i hate to say it) a set of jl 12w3's if money really doesn't matter. or check out kole audio, they are competition subs and they pound.

also i found the 12w3 for about 150, the kappas are like 125. why go for jl's over the kappas?

Infinitys might be a little more accurate, and less boomy than what you're into if you like rap
I think you'd be happier with the JLs
