In the last 3 Months I have been making real progress on my Project and it feels good.
1) I have Built my Motor and Installed it.
2) Installed Brake Pedal, all Brake Lines, Hydro Boost, Power Steering Lines
3) Installed Gas Pedal and Cables
4) Installed One Piece Power Windows
5) Installed Shaved Door Handle Actuators & Poppers
6) Began wiring Electrical
7) Rebuilt Rear End and Mounted Transmission
8) Installed New Driveshaft
9) Installed Gas Tank, Filter and Fuel Lines
10) Installed and wired Two Radiator Fans
11) Installed New Wheels and Tires
Currently working on Installing Remote Oil Cooler and Filter before taking my Transmission in for a Rebuild. Next is to wire Starter to actual keyed Ignition so I can remove those blue wires to a starter button on the side of my truck.
Hopefully this will inspire others to work on their Trucks as well.
Congratulations on the great progress Luke!
I see something in your pics though that causes me some concern however...the triangulated bar mounts on the top of the rearend housing could be a point of failure sometime in the future. Do you feel that your heim joint mountings are stiff enough to handle the load?
They are mounted to a 3/16" Plate that is welded across the top of the Housing so I think they are good.
At this point I am worried about the 28 Spline Rear holding up to the Torque but I am not a Racer so I am hopeful for now.
The Derale 15865 Hyper-Cool Remote Mount Fluid Cooler is Mounted. Now I need to run EVIL ENERGY 10AN Nylon Braided Lines to the WIX Filters - 24764 Heavy Duty Filter Mounting Base (Filter that I used is WIX Filters - 51622 Heavy Duty Spin-On Transmission Filter) and then to the Transmission by converting 10 AN to 6AN on the Trans. (Transmission side took Transmission Adapter Fitting -6AN Flare to 3/8" NPT connected to 6AN Female to 10AN Male Flare Reducer)
Hopefully the details will save someone time if they want to do this also, it took sometime to figure it all out.

That looks tight to the sides of your box. Be careful for expansion of the wood. Same for the middle of the bed as that wood will expand and contract a lot. Just allow for it.

This product is an Engineered product out of a German Factory it is not a Solid Product. It has been engineered to expand and contract within the platform itself. I have allowed a 1/2" an inch all the way around at the box just in case and will install hidden rubber grommets around the bolts I plan to install through each piece to the support beams below in the middle of the bed.
I will then have the wood Sealed all the way around the 4 sides after being colored. This will keep the moisture for being much of a factor. The bed will also have a Custom cover over it at all times so that should help as well. Only time will tell but that is the plan.
well Dang Luke...you something of a slacker, ain't you ?? Really... you got more done in 3 months that I did in three years... tank install looks great and I used the same Derale cooler... plumbing it was $$$$$
Almost done with my Custom 56 Bed today I was Test fitting my Unfinished Carbonized European White Oak Truck Bed.
I like the looks of this wood Luke...would like to know more about what you have under it. I still plan on using the edge cut Brazilian cherry that I got from you and Mark so many years ago...I have been mulling over various ways to use underlayment to mount it and keep it somewhat weather resistant. My plan is to seal the wood to keep it from absorbing moisture and thus eliminate the swelling issue.

Everything takes way longer then you expect for sure. Just waiting for parts these days adds months.
