Personally I'm fed up to the eyebrows with "apps" and hope to high hell "apps" DO NOT become so much a part of this site it becomes borderline ridiculous and insane. Then again I prefer actually speaking to people via telephone or face-to-face so there's that..........
Well I figured out a way to make it work. Downloaded an email app for the one I used to create this account. I don't receive email on it anyway so I'm not getting spam or an excess of pings. Subscribe to the threads and anything I post on with an email notification. So when something is said, it notifies me via email so I can come on here and respond. Works alright and is what I wanted, a notification.

Good point , albeit to have another email account to manage would not be fun. I do use a junk email account, but never check that one.
Yea I don't care to use App's either ! I can see the Internet Browser constantly wanting me to add app's for it. My thought is its none of those App's business ! When on my phone or I pad I just use the normal browser also. The screens are large enough and to hell with the App's ! I choose to use the direct address when I want to do internet stuff ! There are tons of tricksters out there that are not the actual address I want. I believe the Internet Apps stuff is mostly about the Browsers taking on the Cell phone and do not give a crap about me !
I'm old enough to know that apps are a pain in the ****! Taking everything above in consideration, I'll have to agree with the Ancient **** Kisser of Ohio!
