My pal is in Mesa, I was there most of the summer. His 900sqft house was purchased for around $80k about eight years back, now the 'retail' value is around $325k. Insane...and now he is taxed on that. Sad the CA people are doing the same crap in AZ that was done in CA. Failed policies there, move, do the same crap. Sounds like the definition of insanity to me.
I did manage Alcoas, so I am getting there! I keep forgetting you have an extended cab dually, almost all I see are the crew cabs.
Yeah a bit too much, home prices are out of control.
I bought 10 acres of land near El Paso for cheap, but it's also in the middle od nowhere but has great scenery, that's going to be my retirement place where I might build a house or maybe build a burrow in the ground till my wife or myself go crazy

I'm sure it is most likely a good investment even if nothing else to go out there and unwind and relax.
Off topic but I have lived in California all my life. Hunt, fish, conservative and I feel like an outcast. I have family in Phoenix, but it's just not for me to move there. I hear what your saying about "CA policies" ruining other states from people getting out of California. I am going to retire in a few years...looking for somewhere and it hurts to say it's not here in California. A lot of people have and continue to ruin this beautiful state. It's sad. Oldbird and Hitman, I won't be bringing these policies with me when I move....they're not mine, it's why i'm looking to move
Also off topic, but following on @voodoosmooth point, I've never met Brandon, but I do love MANY things about Northern California, and am socially progressive and probably a lifer in CA, but the socialism in San Francisco is absolutely staggering to me. Thus there is a special joy in driving my '97 OBS dually through that town on my way back and forth between Napa Valley and northern Santa Cruz County, both stunning zip codes worth putting up with the idiocy.
Well, I just want to be left alone by the government and not be taxed to death. That is about it. Let people make their own choices in life for themselves...my say is irrelevant for the other person's position in life.
I shall post a pic of the dually when I found it on here, it was ghastly!

My brother lives in Sac, and is an avid hunter (duck, deer, elk), but drives a Prius when not hunting. We trash talk back and forth about how many crunched up Prii (plural Prius) I could tow. I think he's eventually headed to eastern Idaho.
Prius is a good ride, I wish they did not look so dorky. I bought a silly Civic Hybrid for cheap as needed a beater for my ma until found her a better ride...aside from 90hp, it works fine but clunky due to early IMA from Honda. The economy is not as great on that as one would imagine. Does mid 30s in town and 42 freeway only. My '05 coupe with a manual does about 30 in town and cliips upper 30s freeway. The hybrid is slower due to the weight, costs more to service, and more expensive to insure. Really pointless automobile to me.
I do not have any other good pics of my dually handy to keep the thread on track. It is not too exciting with its multi-shade red paint. Maybe I can add a pic of my '92... it is technically an 'OBS' and it was not explicitly stated it had to be 7.3DI only...
