Upgrading Frame
Has anyone swapped frames before? I've got a 2008 F350 frame I'm thinkng about swapping my 1989 F350 cab and some of the drive train over to. (Engine Trans) I haven't measured the mounts yet., just curious if anyone has any experience with this. my frames damaged. love my old truck and hoping to keep it on the road.

just did an 08 suspension swap on my 97 the front of the frame is definitely wider but id think a little fabrication on cab mounts that could be over come.
probably the worst problem would be the frame dips down alot in front of the steering gearbox on the 08 where the older trucks are nearly straight

I sold my 1994 frame for a 1970 F100, fit well, the only issue was the motor had to be moved.
It can be done, but time, effort, headache may be worth it.
I am thinking about swapping frame on another vehicle, but was told if your not doing frame off restoration, its not worth it.
Fix the frame you have.
