Highway 123 about 6 miles south of Seguin... turn right on Fox Trotter road. After it makes a hard right south again John's is on your left, about 1/2 mile.
I have found that ********.com has just about everything your looking for. You have to order a catalog from their website before you can order online though.
Due to a rather tragic handling error on the part of the US Post office, I have the inner frame mounting brackets, but the outer, angle brackets are missing.
The inner frame brakets are the more critical of the 4, as they determine the location and angle of the bumper.
I think the side angle brackets could be reverse engineered, especially if the main brackets are available.
IF:
1) you have a set of side angle brackets, but not the middle frame pieces, please contact me.
2) you want to try to make the side angle pieces, and would like the middle ones, I can be talked out of them very reasonably.
3) you have a show vehicle that needs a bumper for "show" only, the middle brackets will hold the bumper nicely and look fine. But would not take nearly as much impact on the ends of the bumper.
Anyhow, figured I'd put this addendum into the mix.
OH, Barry -- ******** is a certain vendor that is less welcome here. Long story, read your user agreement. Not anyone trying to single you out, or your posts. Regardless, they do not carry 65-72 styleside bumper brackets.
the bumper on my f250 stepside was really bent up and a friend of mine gave me a rear bumper from a 76 gmc i i know its not a ford but it fit good but instead of fitting inside the frame it bolts on the outside it is a tight fit it is hard to find bumpers for a stepside that i can afford
I found a chrome bumper on a 73 style pickup today. They don't look exactly the same as the photo. Does anyone know if they will work? How about the bolt spacing issue?
I got my bumper brackets at Summit Racing for cheap. I also got my bumper as well. You can see my bumper on my truck in my gallery. As you will see the brackets work perfect.
Brandon -- nice looking pickup, and even better kids in it.
The brackets everyone desires are the ones to put an original stock bumper on a styleside bed. Your bumper is an aftermarket "step bumper". Interesting to know that Summitt has bumper parts too, but not the parts that so many folks are needing, unfortunately.
I have a feeling the bumpers may be the same. I put one on a 72 shortbed several years ago and the guys at the bumper shop just sold me a bronco bumper and brackets. Of course the brackets were wrong but I found a 66 F-250 in my neighbors junk that had them with a painted bumper. With those brackets the bronco bumper fit just fine. I don't remember if the Bronco bumper has any differences but it looked exactly the same as the painted 66 bumper.
i found a source for bumpers for 67 to 72 it is dennis carpenter when my engine swap gets done im going to save my money for a stainless steel bumper rear bumper for my 71 f250 stepside yes 250.00 is a lot for a bumper but i havent found anybody else that makes bumpers for full size ford stepside pickups it comes with the brackets welded in
