I can not for the life of me find the interior end of the pass through wires. I have looked everywhere inside that kick panel that my 65 year old body will allow.
Anybody got a picture of where those wires are? (The high idle wires are obvious, I have found them)
On my ‘21 they were stuck/pinched behind the fuse panel, I had a hell of a time pulling them out. They were up high and back above the fuse panel so I would look there. Unfortunately I do not have a picture as I was already pissed looking for 30min. Only used for the high idle, still don’t understand why this isn’t a setting with all the compute power available🤷♂️
The first time I took that little kick panel off I was so busy expecting the inside bundle of pass through wires to be so far up in the dash I didn't notice them right in my face! lol...
But, despite the rain, I got my high idle resistor wired in this morning! I used a 20K Ohm resistor and now sit around 1200 RPM when engaged.
The good news is I found the pass through wires. They were dangling behind the fuse box, right beside the "high idle" bundle. The "high idle" bundle has about 10 small blunt cut wires and a label defining what they are. The pass through wires are a small unlabeled bundle of only 4 wires. Right next to the "high idle" bundle, behind the fuse box near the "A" pillar.
The bad news is I don't think the gauge of these wires will support the current draw of the amateur radio equipment I was planning to run. I really need a 12 gauge wire to handle the load, or at least give me a warm fuzzy about it.
So those of you with a 2022, you will find the high idle bundle, sort of behind that and possibly behind the fuse box close to the door you will find 4 unlabeled wires in a skinny bundle. Hopefully they will suit your purpose. At least they are plenty long enough.

How many amps will the radio draw?
The smaller runs are 20 amp, big ones are 40 I believe, but there are no pass through wires for those bigger ones.
You could maybe combine two of the smaller wires to handle the draw.

This is what I was going to say. You should have no problem combining 2 of them, as long as you combine the same 2 on both ends! lol. I used my white one today, but so far can't really think of anything else I will need to use any of the pass through wires for.
