Hey all, I have a 1990 F-250 351W 4x4 manual transmission truck. Just bought it a week ago and just finished putting in a new front fuel pump and front fuel tank from rock auto. Delphi pump and spectra premium tank. The rear tank works just as it should, but the front tank does not work. When I turned the key to the on position, engine off, with the switch set to rear tank, I got under the truck and heard the rear tank fuel pump running. Then when I put the switch on the front tank, I saw the gas gauge level move. I got under the truck to listen and feel for the front pump to turn on, but it did not turn on. The rear tank was also still running, even though the switch was set to front. The fuel tank selector switch I have is a tough press, switch feels kind of broken... maybe the switch is causing my issue? I bought a new one anyways which will be here around the 7th. Is there anything else I should look at in the meantime? Would like to get the front tank working soon for long trips. Kind of annoying having to always stop to fill up the rear and not being able to use the front. Thanks in advance

Sounds like your on the right path with replacing the selector switch. You could pop the trim off and check the wiring on the back of the switch to be sure P O did not just wires to keep the front tank off and rear on.

I threw in a new fuel tank switch and I’m still having the same issue, the front take is not coming on. What else could it be? Maybe an inertia switch or a break in the wire? I really don’t wanna pull that tank again if I don’t have to haha
