DEF tank replacement
Am I murdering my DEF pumps?
I've a 2011 6.7 with 135K. I bought it used in 2015 with 83K.
Since then I've had the original tank replaced and now 27 months later the second tank replaced.
I have 135K on her now. I treat her delicately and she gets only dealer service for everything.
I downshift when towing or free, I put her into neutral at stops. No engine service, I use Stanadyne.
Besides cross country towing she's used for errand running and short trips to the liquor store where the engine oil doesn't even get to 140F.
Am I killing these tanks, pumps, heaters? They're not cheap!
