tank capacity

wondering the in the cab tank capacity?

Depending on the year of truck it is either 18 or 19 US gallons. ND will come along and correct me if I am wrong.

If the tank is the original, 18 gallons. If the tank was replaced, 19 1/2 gallons.

In 1970, Ford replaced the 18 gallon in-cab tank used in 1961/69 F100/800's with the 1970/72 F100/750 19 1/2 gallon tank for use as a "service part replacement."

Your "About Me" profile says 1966 F150. There were no F150's until 1975.

FWIW, the original owners manual for my 1965 F250 lists only one fuel tank capacity and it's 19.5 gallons.

I bought a 1965 F100 brand new, there is no way...none that the in-cab tank could possibly contain 19 1/2 gallons.

1961/69 F100/800 C1TZ-9002-H 18 gallon tank was replaced in 1970 with D0TZ-9002-A F100/750 19 1/2 gallon tank.

I've put over 18.5 into my tanks a few times while still having a little sloshing around inside.

In 1964 and earlier Ford had rated the tank at 18 gallons.
