Hello!
1973 f250, 390 2wd
Recently ive been having an issue with my battery dying overnight. 12.4v down to 4v in a matter of 2 days sitting.
The alternator does charge the battery when jumpstarted.
The battery is not bad (tested at oreilly).
When i conduct a parasitic draw test, my multimeter reads 0.07 Amps of draw. when i remove the alt. charge wire (the thick red wire) from the starter solenoid, it reads 0 amps of draw. Does this indicate a short at the solenoid? a bad alt? Im surprised 0.07 amps is even enough to drain the battery but here we are.
Thanks
I have a '79 my dad bought new that randomly did this sine it was new. after years of it the problem turned out to be the alternator. or possibly the voltage regulator , I changed them both at the same time and it's never done it since.

late response but it was the alternator! a failed diode was drawing from the battery when the truck was off. thanks!
