I was going to make the switch from the Autolite 1100 to a Holley Sniper but have discovered the bigger master cylinder for my disc brakes gets in the way. Super disappointing but not much I can do. I guess ill have to put that 1100 back on but really don't want to deal with that crappy fuel pump. It's an after market one that pumps out too much pressure and leaks oil. I just want to go electric. Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as what to get that would work on my truck?
What motor / intake and Sniper kit do you have that the master is in the way?
You using the Sniper kit that is for the Ford v1 carb?
If so I cant see how it would hit the master as it is to replace the YF carb that is about the same size as your carb.
As for the electric pump for the carb there are a few just do a Google search

It’s a 1964 with a 223. I had disc brakes installed which has a much bigger master cylinder that sticks out farther. The Holley Sniper is the one designed to replace the Autolite 1100. Was really looking forward to a more reliable carb situation but no such luck

I have ran the Holley red pump on 5.0's that were converted to a carb and had no provision for a mechanical pump. Never had one fail. But you may have to use a pressure regulator with it. Holley 12-801-1 97 GPH RED® Electric Fuel Pump
Did you talk to Holley to see if that EFI would even work with a Load-O-Matic distributor?
The sniper 1100 has an optional vacuum advance port for use with the load-o-matic. Bummed I can't use it but I was a little intimidated by some of the work involved (drilling holes in my gas tank?) so maybe it's better that it won't work out. Thanks for the red pump suggestion, that's what i needed!
I tried two Holley reds which both failed in about 1000 miles on average. After that, I switched to Carter and am on my 2nd in probably 12 years. My truck is driven daily, year round.
The design of the Carter appears to have the pump in a bowl of fuel, for cooling. I'm thinking that the Holleys overheated in a daily driver scenario. Both ended up blowing fuses for some reason.
A potential benefit of the carter is you can place the pump something like 18" above the tank (verify by reading the instructions), whereas the Holley has to be below the tank. If the tank is still in the cab, this won't matter much but when relocated, it allows more options for mounting the pump.
You may need a regulator depending on the requirements of that carburetor.

You're right in that the biggest work on installing EFI is likely the required fuel delivery and return modifications - not the EFI install and tuning. Those mods are what's keeping me from making the change - I'll play with my Carter AFB for awhile longer before I find the opportunity to take on that project.
53deere has tank mods shown in his build post, BTW.
