Tom it should shut off by automatically when the truck shuts off. Mine usually shuts off about 1-2 seconds after the truck.
Sometimes it will get confused and stay on when it shouldn't be. I will usually just unplug and re-plug and that fixes it.
Also smart to connect the CTS3 to a computer and check for firmware updates. Mine had quite a few which helped fix some other nuisance issues. It can supposedly do updates over Wifi but I've not been able to get that to work.

What I like about the Edge CTS2 and CTS3 is the large screen. To my knowledge, Gearhead no longer offers tunes for the Edge devices. Now I'm looking for alternatives....
