well when I first got the Centramatic wheel balancers I had same issue. Slight vibration around 60 mph. Back then Centramatic was having issues because the glue they use to use in assembly was banned or deemed not legal in two states so they had to start using a new glue. They warrantied out a set and sent me a second set. Got that set and still had vibration. Tire shop kept blaming the Centramatic balancers so finally took them off went back to tire shop(different one) and said I wanted the tires road force balanced and sure enough two of my tire were junk which was what was causing my vibration. New tires and when home put Centramatic back on and been good since then.

btw how’d you get 300-318 to fit on your truck? I had to swap mine out for 300-328 which are flat Centramatic balancer’s. They don’t bevel inward. The 300-318 that curve inward wouldn’t clear the brake caliper

I suspect i'm on the same track you were. I'm going to try a new tire place and see what they say. I'm fairly certain the vibration is coming from the rear tires, since I don't really feel it coming directly through the steering wheel.

The 300-318b fit the front with the ring on the outside. It fit inside the wheel, and left room for the caliper. I tried it the other way around, and you are right, it touched the brake caliper. I'm pretty sure that I read these can be installed flipped either way, so I'm hoping that is true.

Before ordering, I emailed Centramatic asking what would fit my my truck, and made sure to mention the wheel size. They said the 300-318 set was the right one. I looked around for the 300-328 on their site and couldn't find it. Do you know what the difference is?

Thanks, I read that too. I was hoping to be the "most cases" owner of these. That's why my next move is probably a wheel and tire shop to balance and not trying for a return.

Have them on my F450 CC - left the factory weights on the steel inner wheel but took them off the aluminum, I don't want the corrosion under the weights. Runs smoother now than without them.

For the guys that have run beads in the tires, how do the Centramatics compare to that setup?

I've had Centramatics on my F450 for the past 10K miles. I started looking into them because of the vibrations that we felt in the cab while on the highway. I kept the wheel weights on and installed the Centramatics.

I could tell an improvement right away. I then got the wife to review and she agreed that the ride had improved a noticeable amount. The truck is free of annoying vibrations while on the highway.

yeah the 300-328 are flat and don’t bevel inwards or outwards depending how u put them on. Yes they work either way u put them on. 300-328 are almost flat other than the ring

Ive ran both. Driving wise, both performed equally as well for me.

Well I figured I’d report back my findings as I am the original poster. So there is a freshly paved road out here, so smooth as can be at 70 mph speed limit. Tires are brand new with 800 miles on them. Had them all road forced balanced 3 of the 4 took 2.25 to 2.75 oz of weight and had one that took 4.25 oz. I drove freshly paved 10 mile stretch without Centramatics and very slight constant vibration. With Centramatics I had slight vibration that would come and go but can’t really narrow it down to when or what would cause it. I just removed all my wheel weights and just with Centramatics and I must say it’s never been so smooth. I can definitely tell they work. I’ve ran them for years on my big rig but when you gross 80k of course it’s gonna feel smooth lol

I run Balance Masters on my 21 F450 and per their recommendation removed all the existing wheel weights. Smooth as glass at all speeds so far.

Now I’m running Les schwabs Mazma open range tires as I needed tires and no tire dealer in my area could tell when they’ll see what I normally run which is Toyo AT’s

i had to put them on my 2020 with 20” wheels as the 300-318 the way they are designed if you put them on the one way they’d hit the brake caliper and if you flipped the balancer then it would be up against backside of the wheel
