Wheels Question

I guess my question should have been… what’s the maximum tire height and width on stock suspension the 2WD Fridge trucks can safely handle (backspacing and offset too) using either a 16” and 17” using 8 inch wide rim wheels.

I have a set of 16 inch ford steel wheels painted red. I’d also like to get a set of 16x8 with 5 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern but i am unsure what the back space requirements would be or max offset.. I’m sure someone knows the limits of the standard 2WD ‘57. Thanks in advance

the wheels im looking at getting:
Wheel Size: 16x8;Bolt Pattern: 5 on 5.5;Backspace: 4.97in.;Max Load: 2100lbs;Finish: Glossy Black;Hubcentric: No;Offset: 12mm;Center Caps and Lug Nuts Not Included

AR767 Series, 16x8 with 5 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern - Gloss Black

Im leaning towards the 16” rims 8” wide with -12 offset mounting LT215/85-R16 tires but have no idea if it will fit. LOL

any thoughts? I know some of y’all have squeezed the tallest tire into these Fridge trucks before….

I've always run 10x15 that are 31 tall with no problems but I don't recall what the back space is.

thats what i needed to read… that opens the doors up for lots of options. Prob will go with 16” x8 with 4” (to 3.75”) backspace and 0 to -14 offset mounting 245/75R16 giving me 30-1/2” tall x 9-5/8 wide tires
would love to find some 16”x8” slotted mags. Might even paint the Pro Comps RED. LOL. So many choices… I should stick to forming parts.

Too many choices today, thats why I just went with solid steel wheels. I'm old and lazy and didn't want something that required cleaning. I drive too many miles.

Narrow tires are easier to steer! My two cents.
