When my engine hits the magic temp for the cold advance to shut off, I'm usually driving 55. Its like I instantaneously backed off the throttle to the point of a noticeable slowdown/lurch. Not sure if it should be this pronounced. Hopefully, a simple question.
That's odd. I usually don't notice it at all as long as I'm not driving without giving it any throttle and it's just idling along at the high idle setting. I almost always try to let it do its thing before taking off though so I'm sure it's sufficiently warmed up for engine longevity. What are your RPMs when this happens?
the cold idle advance is hooked up with timing advance in injector pump. the timing may be off and when the high idle turns off it retards the timing enough to feel it.
