I replaced mine on my F150 earlier this year. In the 1 week I didn't have one on, I went through 3 windshield replacements due to rocks being slung up. Haven't had a chip since reinstalling the new one in March. My issue with this one is that it seems more cosmetic and not functional. Looks like it follows the same angle as the front of the hood and doesn't do much of redirecting bugs/rocks up. But then again it looks like the hood angle may be steep enough by design and works
Looks like an AVS Aeroskin. It's all I've used for the last several trucks I've owned. Stick it on and forget it. Let it go with the truck at trade or sale time, removal isn't worth the hassle as the two sided tape is pretty strong stuff.
My latest model is as pictured, with the little recurve at top.

This is a prime example of causation, does not equal correlation. If not having a hood deflector vs having one on a vehicle meant you were replacing 3 windshields a week; multiplied by the amount of vehicles on the road without them. Then Safelight would be bigger than Amazon, Google, and the US Government combined.
It doesn’t look like a Ford part. It is a Ford part. I previously gave the exact PN above and people seem to want to keep guessing as to what it might be. Strange.

The reason; you can’t possibly be more right than them. I’m sure you’ve seen it on other Internet forums. Everyone HAS to be right & anyone with a different opinion than theirs can’t be right. They won’t allow it. You can tell them that 2+2=4, show them proof of why it is 4 & they will argue with you all day long that it is NOT 4, then proceed to tell you that you’re a hard-headed ignoramus.
I've got the VHC3Z-16C900-C on my truck and love it. People may not love it because it attaches to the vehicle with 3M double sided adhesive tape. I can see how dirt could accumulate in the gap between the deflector and the paint but a good washing should rinse it away. The 3M tape is thick enough I'm pretty confident that the guard itself does not rub against the paint. It is very secure as well. There is no way it's going to fly or fall off if installed properly.
It looked and felt cheap. I didn’t like the textured plastic. I didn’t like the mount. I didn’t like the the convex lettering, as I much prefer the concave style. Everything about it just sort of oozed “cheap piece of crap” when I handled it. I’m sure it works for some, but you couldn’t give one to me.
