Bug shield for hood
Who makes the best fitting and looking bug shield to put on our hoods? Can you post pictures of the ones you have on your trucks? Let me know what brand you have, and if there's anything you don't like about it. Are there any issues with it rubbing the paint anywhere?

Heres mine Pinkstroker, its a ARE and i got it from Advanced auto. No problems yet and its been on for about 6 years. One little problem, the little silacone tabs that mount onto your shield to keep a huge wind from pushing down on the shield and hitting the paint surface wear over time and disapear. Not a problem though, the shield doesn't even come close to any painted surface.

it has a life time warranty and every winter about January when it drops to 20 30 below.... I shut my hood checking the oil..the damn thing cracks..so the end of February I take it in and get a new one for free...

Jason (Yellow401) has a good idea. I have seen the clear ones painted on the inside so the paint isn't easily chipped and shows through on the outside with a nice shiny look. Color of course is optional.

The decal "7.3 POWER STROKE DIESEL" most likely came from a great guy who I was recently told about on here (I'm not sure of his user name) but he makes great decals and has them on Ebay (also will make custom ones that are not already on his Ebay listings) his Ebay seller name is Skyhawk1 Larry is his name, and he is absolutely a great guy to work with.
I don't care much for the regular FTE sticker (sorry) so Larry made me a rather plain decal for my back window on my topper that is white and about 2" letters that read:www.ford-trucks.com he is very reasonable.

I really like it, but i took it off and am going a different direction with mine. I am willing to sell it and get it out of my garage. just need some big rubber bump to put on the front corner of the hood so it doesnt rub.
