Compatible Front Doors

Can someone please confirm for me what years from the Super Duty trucks are a direct replacement to the Excursion (front door)? Is it 99-07? 99-10? Or 99-16?

Should be 99-16 unless I am mistaken.

Be advised, on the newer doors, not sure which year(s) it happened, the inside release handle rotated to a parallel position. Our earlier doors had a slight rearward tilt angle to the handle. There may be other slight changes. This may just push you to the newer door panels.

Be aware that the electronics will also be different between several year ranges.

I think 99-2001 because of GEM
2002-2005 with the VSM based Electronics
2006+ F250s likely changed electronics again because they got all new motors and PCMs.

Not sure if the wiring and such in the doors changed, but its a fair bet some did, so if you plan to use the electronics that come with a donor door, you might want to get one from the same year grouping, if you are ok transplanting the electronics from the old door then have at it.

With that on the excursions at least there is no connector for the door harness on the body at all. So any door wiring changes would need to be spliced in and or the original harness would have to be pulled back through the door to remove the door.

Thanks, I don’t have an issue swapping wiring and door panels if that’s needed.
