I am looking to mount a CB and antenna in my 2022 f350. Has anybody done this and how did you mount an antenna on these trucks? Having a hard time locating any information on this. Thank you.
That 3rd brake light mount is crazy. You don't need that. Hood mounts work perfectly fine and will run about $35. Just toss a 4' FireStik onto that mount and you're fine. I highly recommend coax cable with the FME connector on it for easier pass through on the firewall. Then, the tough part -- where does the actual radio go. I have a nice Cobra 29 LX in my closet mainly because I can't figure out where it would go. Good luck.
I have a F350 on order. Looking at a stake pocket mount or hood mount. I currently have a 2015 F250 that I mounted the antenna to custom "Z" bracket through the cowel to match OEM fm antenna

If I were going to add one this is the route I'd go. Stake mount or hood mount, and you're going to need to either make a hole and seal it, or run it in through the door. Both work.
As stated above, the hardest part is figuring out where to put the radio itself.
I went with Right Channel Radio, they have a combo package which includes fender mount, coax, and firestick antenna.
I ran the coax through a hole I made in the large rubber grommet located on the drivers side firewall. I mounted my Cobra 29 in the center tray on top of dash.
CB is way more picky about ground plane. I gave up on CB a few years ago when I got ly ham license. I made a bracket for my 2020 that uses an OEM fender fastener and brings antenna up thru the cowl opposite the FM antenna.

I decided to go the expensive route. I haven't had time to do more than flip through the installation instructions. That said if you like the look of the Bulletproof Diesel mount and the mounting location. It is extremely well constructed. You can also find it rebranded by PCI Race Radios in attempts to find the best price. I went with the dual FWIW. I figured the incremental cost for the dual mount was worth it given the upfront. I plan on running a CB, and then at minimum a GMRS (i'm working on a HAM license too).

Rugged Radio makes this dandy and simple adhesive backed steel disk. You just stick it to the truck and plop a mag mount on it. About $20 when i got mine. You get ONE SHOT at placing it as the adhesive is pretty awesome. Yes I ran the coax through the back door just as I have on every other vehicle I have ever owned. Except my Ranger.
Twice already on this truck, and many times on the F-150, a tree limb or stupid service tech has raked the mag mount off the top of the truck with NO DAMAGE to the truck. The Ranger I had a LMO mount in the center of the cab and twice It was ripped away, each time requiring repair and dropping the headliner. Between the cost and survivability factors it's something to think about.
