Scanner recomendations
Hi all,
This is on my 2000 Excursion v10, 235,000 miles
I am dealing with a intermittent miss. One time it set the dreaded PO300
I cleared it and now it won’t set any codes. The miss is very obvious
I did the normal spark plug replacement, replaced boots on the coils, etc
checked for vacuum leaks, all the injectors are ticking, etc.
I think I need a scanner that does mode 6. Wouldn’t mind one that does cylinder balance too.
I am not up to date on what’s on the market and could use some help picking the correct scanner. Or any other tips.

Most people recommend ForScan and the OBDLink connector. I just got mine a few weeks ago and have plugged it in once to get to know how everything worked, but haven''t had a ton of time using it yet.
