I have a 1991-f-350-5.8 liter,I removed all of the emission bull **** including pump.My problem is the belt that I downsized to fit keeps jumping 1 rib on the belt at the crankshaft pulley.any suggestions?

If the belt is 'jumping' you have something not lined up. Is the water pump pulley on correctly, and in good condition?
