ESP Costs
Got caught by surprise when I reviewed extended service plans at my dealer when taking delivery of my truck….. maybe I’m the only one that didn’t realize this….. but I kinda assumed that the Ford ESP costs would be pretty similar across dealers……
My dealer quoted me almost double the cost of these exact plans versus the cost at this link…. And they did not seem much interested in negotiating…. Buyer beware….

This has been discussed in numerous threads. There are a few on-line dealers that offer great prices on the Ford ESP. Also, you don't have to buy the ESP right away. As long as the truck is still covered by the Ford 3yr/36K warranty you can buy the ESP although it will cost you a little more to wait after the first year or 12K miles. You will also be subject to any price increases Ford makes but these have been infrequent in the past.

I finalized and picked my truck up from the dealer yesterday. My dealer matched what Ford Extended Warranty | Genuine Ford Protect ESP (lombardfordwarrantys.com) was offering for the exact same plan and added the coverage for the interior and exterior lights. Flood Ford was wanting more than Lombard when I request a quote. So I used them as my leverage.
