I have a 2019 Lariat that has the 360 deg view cameras. Problem is the images suck to the point of being unusable. In the daytime they’re usually washed out. At night the images are real grainy. Is there an adjustment or software setting to improve the images? It seems in this day and ages getting good images should be easy.
Does anyone else have this problem? If so, have you found a fix?
thanks
I have always felt the image quality to be mediocre, but generally usable. I have not heard of any way to improve the image quality. Is it possible that your camera's are failing? The front camera on mine is not as clear in all lighting as it used ro be, a milky haze can be seen surrounding the camera lens when looking from the outside.

Unfortunately not. The camera resolution on most late model Ford trucks is mediocre at best (especially in dim light). My understanding is that resolution is a function of both the cameras and the wiring/bus system that relays the image to the head unit. GM addressed this with their new "Global B" architecture, which is a high speed/high bandwidth all digital vehicle network that allows high def cameras amongst other things (which compared to Ford's system is night and day). Not sure if the new F150's have improved on this - I assume so. Maybe the 2023 refresh will improve the situation.
I have a 2017 and just had third set of cameras installed under the extended warranty. Much, much better. They must have changed suppliers since best they’ve been.
The rear view camera on my new ‘22 SD is absolutely awful. I always back up in to my garage and it’s so dark it’s completely un-useable most of the time. Any suggestions??
on my 2019, camera images in daytime are usable, but night they are grainy. now with a aftermarket camera that has ir illumination on aux they are good. this is why my aux camera is separate from my tpms, but it could be worked around by splicing wire or a diffrent pigtail.
as far as getting a better image from the cameras at night i noticed it is light dependent. if this is the case a set of led backup cubes or lights in the bumper may help. it did on mine.

I haven't seen any aftermarket 'drop in - plug and play' solutions but that would seem to be the only solution until Ford gets their camera systems and vehicle network upgraded, which given the semiconductor supply chain issues isn't likely to happen anytime soon. The Ford cameras are almost analogue in quality.
There were recalls last year IIRC for light duty trucks... seems like they changed suppliers.
The stock camera systems are just not very good unfortunately.
For comparison, (which isn't helpful to your issue I know) GM's cameras are incredibly sharp with excellent resolution.
