Mystery Light

What is this light? Courtesy? E brake warning? Something else?

what bulb does it take and is the cover still available anywhere?

These trucks had a brake pressure differential block with a switch inside. In the event of front or rear brake system failure, a barrel in this distribution block would slide, blocking flow to the open system, and triggering the warning light. They appear to be available from most parts vendors. Very common to see them melted. Brakes got replaced, light was never reset and glowed all the time, melting the lens.

Go to www.dennis-carpenter.com. The bezel and lens assembly is their part number D5TZ10A840A. The bulb is industry #1445. You should be able to source it locally.
