I have a 1996 F150 4x4 ext cab. I'm looking to refit the front bench seat with the 40-20-40 seats (fold down center console w/ cup holders etc.)that some of these trucks apparently were outfitted with up 1998.
Any suggestions as to where to find them.
I've also found a small company selling 40/20/40 seats removed from new ford crew cabs. I told that these seats could bolt into my truck and with an additional bracket piece (not included) they can also be made to fold easily to allow persons to enter/exit the back seat in the extended cab.

So, do you have the split back bench seat now in your 96? Finding the 40/20/40 seat is really rare, but the seat was probably the best available. Ford actually ran that seat style up to the end of the heavy duty 1997 models. If you find one with power seat, its even better. I found a seat one time, that was brown to match my interior, but the company wanted about $600 for it. I said no way. My suggestion=If they have a good price, go for it!
