Bedrug Option

Thinking of one of these rugs/mats to lay over my spray-in. Feedback please!

Love mine. Had them for years. They last better than the spray in liner IMO.

I have one on top of my DualLiner. Happy with the choice. In past years I had a full BedRug liner on top of spray in. Probably overkill. And a pain if you want to remove and reinstall in another truck. But nice on the hands and knees if you have to crawl under a tonneau.

I ordered one for my 22. Neither the truck or the Bedrug has arrived yet…. But soon. I love the thought of these though. Looks better than the spray in or drop in liners and will be much easier on the knees.

If you did the spray in liner though there are supposedly extra kits you will need. I guess the Bedrug has a harder time sticking to the spray in liners so it’s basically more sticky Velcro.

I went with this:
https://bedrug.com/bedtred-impact-bed-mats

It's contoured to fit the corrugation of the truck bed and gives you a nice, flat surface in the bed of the truck. It also has a flap that closes the gap between the tailgate and the bed. It's held up alright so far, it won't take heavy, commercial use. I'm starting to put some holes in it from some of the heavier items I've moved around but still holding up well overall. It's also very easy to remove. Every couple months I take it out and hose down the bed to get rid of any debris that manages to get under the mat.

I did the same mat as Pugga. Fit was perfect and its so much nicer to the knees when loading the bed.

I went with the full liner. I will have a tonneau over mine and it won’t really be “worked hard.” It’ll store camping stuff, a generator and diesel and water cans. I fully anticipate mine lasting a very long time. I like that it will cover the gap between the end of the bed and the tailgate too. I also have seals I will put around the tailgate sides so the bed should be protected pretty well.

Topper + Bedrug = Best thing in the history of things if you don't use your truck as a work truck.

I have the Bedrug XLT. With a spray in liner I don't see the need for the one that goes up the sides...plus it's way easy to pull it out and vaccum/powerwash it without the sides.

Some people say the fold at the tailgate freezes up in the winter with the XLT but I have never had a problem with it doing that. Had one on my last truck F-150 with lots of winter driving for skiing, no issues w/ it freezing, but I do have a tailgate seal installed across the bottom.

Same here.

I got my first bed rug as a ”free” gift from AutoAnything when I bought a n Extang trifold tonneau cover. It isn’t something I would have gone out and bought but it was a terrific addition to the truck and I will get another one when my new truck comes in.

I have a Diamondback Bed cover on mine also. The problem is, it leads me to constantly sliding things in and out. I also remove the cover every so often to put something heavy or tall in the bed, like a motorcycle. The kick stand of the dirt bike I moved put a small tear in the mat. I put another small tear from a rotary tine tiller. The camping gear and other stuff sliding in and out seems to be fine. If it were an open bed though, I don't think it'd survive constant high impact or heavy use.

I went with the MX4 and I also have a Bakbox that will be in mine. I don’t see myself having to remove the cover very often. I figure the worst that will be in mine will be fire wood, and I’ll put shipping blankets down first to help with clean up. I’ve seen reports of the Bedrugs holding up well from several other users so feel fine for what I am going to put mine through!

Go with the Ford accessories thick rubber bed mat for your SD.
I think you’ll be much happier.

If all your covering is the floor, I’d probably just go with whatever’s cheaper. I specifically wanted the sides and the tailgate covered too though so the Bedrug seemed better for my situation. However, I wouldn’t add it to the truck order… just wait til you get the truck and use the FordPass points to get it.

Ford sells a bedrug with their logo on it. https://accessories.ford.com/liner-l...0/Super%20Duty

You can use your Ford Pass points and buy it at local dealer. Also check out eBay. I bought one for my F150 for less than $250.

here is a few picture in my F350 with my Andersen 5th wheel hitch. When I pull the hitch out I just pop in the 3 squares I cut out to access the ball and 2 chain attachments and you can’t tell.

I got mine for $350 from Tonneau Covers World. They seem to be on back order though… mine hasn’t shipped yet and I ordered last month.
