Hello and thanks for looking, I appreciate everyone's help. I got a hydra tuner, mainly for towing and fuel milage help. I programmed and installed it, everything works great. My question, the list of programs on hydra flash seem kinda vague to me, and I can't find allot of instruction online, like the 80 tow is for smaller loads then the 40 tow? And what does the hybrid shift option do? Is there a better explanation posted somewhere then the code names that come on hydra flash software? Thanks again everyone

Hi Scott. Welcome to FTE.
Good luck on the “fuel mileage help”. We all tell ourselves that’s why we get the tuners. But no one can ever keep their foot out of it to see if it actually works.
The Hydra names for the most part are fairly straightforward. The numbers indicate a horsepower over stock level (you’re not actually gonna get +140hp though), the names describe the feel or aggressiveness of the tune.
Fuel Sipper, Daily, Performance, Race, Extreme: each get progressively more aggressive feeling. Shifting being the biggest impact to the feel. Throttle response will likely vary as well.
The Tow tunes are obviously oriented towards towing. The shifting strategy will hold the gears a bit longer etc. You are correct about the HP numbers. The higher numbers are for lighter loads because the EGT can get too high with more fueling. Speaking of this, you should have a pyrometer when tuned. Order one up if you don’t have already. So the heavier loads need less fueling for engine safety which means you have to run a lower HP tune.
I’m not sure what you mean by “hybrid shift option”. Are you talking about the modified VB files? Those are geared towards folks with modifications to their transmission Valve Body which requires a softer shift within the tune. For a normal transmission they will likely be too soft shifting.
