I have a question concerning the 2.5L single overhead cam engines (Lima) versus the 2.5L Duratec engine, and I appologize if I am posting in the wrong area.
I have a 2.5L industrial engine that is the same as a late 90's Ford Ranger. I am searching for an SAE flywheel for it, and I have found one that fits a newer version which is the same as the Duratec 2.5L engine. My question is, do they both use the same crankshaft, and/or are they drilled to use the same flywheel?
I see you don't have any replies yet & I don't know squat about the 4banger parts But you may be able to derive the answer by noting if both flywheels have the same part number.

So far I have not been able to find it listed, but it also appears that all of the transmissions listed for the Duratec engines are different than those of the Lima engines. If I could find one that was not installed in a vehicle and did not have the flywheel attached I could verify the fit easily.
