Happy Humpeth Day Nor Cal.
I will probably wait a month or two to fix the alternator. The cheapest I can find one is $155 and I really don't want to ad that to any of my credit cards, since I am still paying off the laptop, and the repair bill of the Dodge. If the Dodge stays running that is. If it breaks down too, then I will fix whichever one is the cheapest repair.

Wow, for some reason I thought today was Wednesday. Missed a whole day somewhere. Anyway, happy Thursday Nor Cal.
Just happened to check Rockauto.com and I can get a new alternator for just under $90. Or a refurbished one for under $106 plus core charge. Think I'll buy new and save money.

OTOH, an alternator from an MRAP might weigh more than the engine in your Ranger.
