When will ford catch up?
I love the new GM commercial with the F150 chasing the Silverado. I have been sick and tired of the arguments over "Base" Horse power....bottom line...you should be comparing the bread and butter of each truck. 5.3 vs 5.4 of ford. I know that trucks arent for supose to be for speed...and that if that is the case...why do you see fancy rims, car transmissions, and power windows and locks? leather....anyway...my point is that a 6 year old chevy is much faster than a brand new 2003 ford...i havent seen the 2004 yet,...it could be an Eye opener...but for goodness sakes it had better be. Ford hasnt had a decent engine since they dropped the 302 line. So does anyone know if this new ford is worth any thing?

I have read through your post three times and still am not really clear on what it is you want other than to irritate and aggravate. If you want to know if it is worth anything, go to a dealer and drive one. Then, make a statement based off some experience, not speculation.
Leather, fancy rims, power windows...wasn't clear that these in anyway attached to the motor and affected perfomance. And, why can't I haul whatever and look good and be comfortable doing it? As far as "car transmissions" explain?

And if you know that they aren't for speed, but your point is that a 6 year old chebby is faster...what is your point again? And so what? A chebby is still a chebby and well, you can't polish a turd.

I love the commercial where the Ford is standing next to the Dodge (hereafter referred to as feces) and they both have the classic cars on the trailers behind them (a mustang and a charger or something). Then, the Ford driver asks if the Feces is equipped with the famous hemi, to which the Feces driver responds "yes." Then the Ford smokes them.
