No boost, no codes?
My 2008 6.4l lost all boost. No codes were set. Actuator seems to cycle on "On" setting, No power, lots of black smoke on acceleration. No funny noises from turbo. New air filter, new MAP sensor. Some oil under charge air radiator. Drained water separator and added new tank of fuel and added Diesel Klean, Ideas? Shouldn't I have some code if it is turbo or actuator? Ideas? Thanks a ton.

Check turbo vanes to see if they spin. Then check the dpf to see if it is clogged. Have you been getting any regen messages on the display? Are all the cac pipes connected securely? Engine not misfiring? Can you get a analyzer on it and monitor pids.

i would highly suggest a code reader. I would also check all the turbo components/boots and all for any leaks or disconnects.
Most likely you need to have something that will command the turbo to cycle. That means IDS/trip to the dealer.

Thanks, I forgot to say that DPF and coolers removed. so no Regen. No obvious line problems. What do I need to do to manually spin the turbo? Disconnect one end or the other? Actuator seems to move it smoothly. I don't have an analyzer but my code reader gives a few live readouts. Sorry for my ignorance but what is pids? I have no misfires, just no power.
