Bought a new Sport Big Bend 2 weeks ago. It's not as quiet as my daughter's 2015 Fusion but I don't find the road noise intrusive or annoying. I swapped the passenger tires to Cooper Discoverer AT3's and it's actually a little quieter on the rough chip seal roads we have around here. The passenger tires were actually a little noisier on those roads and maybe the thicker tread on the AT tires helps.
Overall, I'm completely loving the rig and it's not what I was looking for in the beginning.

scozim, Yes, I have noticed a dramatic difference in road noise depending on surface. The chip seal is the worst. The stock tires are very smooth though.
Kind of late to this but, has anybody tried an aftermarket spray on insulation? Similar to rust proofing. I did this to my F250 and took quite a bit of the road noise away.
