Shift boot

Just had a Tremec TKO installed in my 65. Previous trans was a NP435. Looking to get ideas on a new shift boot set up. Old boot was round and rather large. Thinking of going with square/rectangle since new trans shifter sits much closer to bench seat. Welcome any thoughts/pics from those who did similar swaps.

I am doing a T5 swap in my '62. I wanted to keep a round boot. I am using a Hurst lever and shifter. I bought this, but do not have it installed yet. I liked the stainless ring..... https://www.summitracing.com/parts/lok-70hrb

I used the one it had on the NP435, which was rectangular. I also used a mid shifter though which puts the shifter well out front of the bench seat.

I just installed a TKX and used a Hurst boot I got from O'Reilly's auto parts for $20. I was unable to use the supplied shifter stalk because it hit the seat. I went to the junkyard and found a 4X4 shifter that works great after minor modification. I posted the install, pics are there.
