2022 DPF screen enable

Has anyone been able to enable the DPF % screen along with auto regen disable on a 2022 XLT? I tried last night but I couldn't get it to work. I only tried the plain English. My 2022 has about half the modules of my 2017 XLT with basically the same options.

Yes, I enabled mine using the codes in the 2020-2021 spreadsheet thread. I got it to display the percentage on the Maintenance section. It ran the first regen today at about 575 miles. I think the DPF said it was only at 75%. Not sure what parameters it uses to run automatically.

Ok, thanks! I'll give it another shot this weekend.

I had the dealer diesel tech try to turn mine on. He hooked up the computer and couldn’t find it. If anyone has instructions I can give him next time I’m there, i would be grateful.

If you disable auto regen, will a message pop up alerting you that it needs regen at the normal 75%? Then can you choose to start one?

I dont have the IPC module to make the global change. I feel like I should have more modules show up than what I do. I am on the latest Forscan version so I'm not sure whats going on.

On my 2017, regens occur around every 500 miles regardless of DPF percentage full.

My 2020 F-250 went to 100% before telling you to clean the filter when auto was disabled.

I assume 2022 will work the same. Have not got there yet.

I have both the Bluetooth and corded OBDLink EX adapters. I've used them on my 2017 and several older trucks with no issues. I just reinstalled Forscan and made sure the adapter drivers were up to date. I also don't save the vehicle profile so each time it should be trying to read everything. It appears it's only reading HSCAN modules. Not sure what to do next.

The 2022 MY support is new in Forscan, perhaps the code to get all the modules in a F-450 isn't quite there yet?

Looks like Forscan still has some bugs to workout. I emailed them the log files and here is their response."Hello,

Thanks for the debug information.

It is very strange situation. New 2022 F-Series has new on-board network, same as new 2021 F-150 has. We have modified FORScan v2.3.42 to support it in full. But your car seems to have old network on the board (like in 2021- F-Series). So, now we have debug information from two F-450. First one, manufactured in July 2021, has new (2021 F-150 style) network. Second one, your one, manufactured in August 2021 (so 1 month later) has old (2021 F-Series style) network. According to the VIN, both trucks seem to be manufactured on the same factory. So, it looks like Ford does manufacture 2022 F-Series with two version of the on-board network, old and new, and current version of FORScan supports only new. We need to implement support of the old network too, but it will take some time."

I'll say one thing, you can't complain about their response time! I feel better now that they know the problem.

Since you have an XLT and the smaller 8" Sync3 screen, do you think it will still use the previous version of Forscan, and maybe the new version of Forscan will be intended for the newer 12" Sync4 systems? This is what I have. been wondering about since mine is also the XLT and will have the smaller (older) 8" Sync 3... I would imagine that these will now have different codes, unlike in the past years where they have all been the same. They talk about the 22's having an old and new on board network.... maybe whichever Sync system we have is how to know which to use? My 22 XLT is scheduled to be built 9/7 so hoping all you early adopters get it sorted through by the time mine comes... lol!
