My 2022 350 KR has a major safety issue. However it isn't just mine. None of the 2022's my dealer has received can perform this major safety issue. The issue is the rear doors will not unlock if you pull on the interior handle. No matter how many times you pull will it unlock an open the door. If you actually read your owners manual, yeah who does that, you will find on page 84 the very first thing written is how to unlock and open the rear doors. Pull once unlock pull again to open. My dealer has contacted Ford directly as mine, and 3 others they have, do not do this. Their service department doesn't even know how to fix this. They did also receive 2021's on the same truck load and all of those do this action correctly. The dealer and their service department believes this will become a recall as if the cab is smashed to the front doors there is no way for the rear passengers to exit the vehicle unless they know the old school way to pull on the physical lock stalk sticking out of the door. Be advised as to when you use auto lock.

This is a problem people have?
I would never have expected the rear doors to open due to kids being in the back and yanking on door handles while locked as its been for years. When did this become a thing?
I'm guessing you guys checked to see the child lock was off correct?
Yes obviously, and it's on 4 vehicles at that dealer. If you have a 2022 get in the rear seat and lock the door then try to open it as the manual states on page 84.

OK a door lock keeps people from getting in not out. Child lock keeps you from exiting. Child lock and door lock prevents all exit and intrusion.
what happens when you press the unlock button on driver or passenger front door?
my 2021 the rear doors will not unlock unless the doors are unlocked from the button or the fob or if your in park and open the drivers door it will unlock the rears,
if it helps
make sure the child locks are not set.
i set mine because the dogs own the rear seat area and one is houdinni

My 2018 you could have the doors locked and open in a two step process like stated in the manual no front unlock needed. This I must unlock the doors, all of them. Have you ever tried to do this if you "turn off" the safety lock? I know my dealer tried it as the manual states and the two 21's they got work in the 2 step process.
I don't see this as a major safety issue. But then again my first car had manual locks, manual windows and an 8-track. If you can't pull the lock up on the door then you probably won't stand much of a chance in life anyway.
But see in the manual it's clearly stated this is how it works. I will say maybe 2% of vehicle purchasers actually read their manuals, I do read them, every vehicle I buy. This is an issue, I also have a Wrangler that opens on one pull and a Jetta that opens in two pulls. Unless intentionally setting the child safety lock you should be able to open all doors from the inside if locked.
Oh and those manual locks still unlocked from the inside.
confirmed this on my 2022. child locks disabled, if the door is locked, no amount of pulling the handle will open the door from the inside. If the child lock is enabled, no amount of pulling the handle will open the door from the inside even if the door is unlocked.
IDK if this is a safety issue, but it is highly annoying for grown adults who expect to be able to pull a handle and have the door open. What is this a back seat of a police car?!

no it's the ultimate human trafficking vehicle. But it is a safety issue. Get out if the front seats are smashed to oblivion, yes unlikely, but if you don't know to pull the plunger you are stuck.
I guess I'm in a different universe on this. Does anyone really not know how to operate a door lock?
Well there is a way to get out of a locked trunk now so...
All I'm saying is review page 84 I have included a screen shot of it. It doesn't work as stated. There is a reason it's in the manual.
