They are no longer on Lariat trucks.

I noticed this on mine too, but did any of you ever actually adjust them on your older trucks? All the way back which is where these seem to be “fixed” was the only way I could run them.

They stopped mid production with the ‘21’s for some reason. My ‘21 Lariat produced the end of Feb has them, some that were produced in mid to late March do not.

On my 20 I put the legs in a padded vice and bent the head rest WAY back. I keep it like this for most of my driving but every now and then a will bring it a few clicks forward so I’m glad to have the adjustability.

Agree with this. I initially built a fully optioned Lariat, and the Platinum was actually less since it included most of the features standard instead of having to add all the separate packages on the Lariat. I'm also glad that the Adaptive Steering is now an option on the Platinum since I was able to remove it for my 2022 on order.

I hate the headrests on my 22. I'm looking for any solution. My 19 had adjustable headrests. And my 19 F150 has them, and its a cloth XL!!!!

Can we simply order a 19 headrest and slide it in the 22? Or are they different?

Yes, my dealer said they are $114 each and don't come with a cover. You can find them on ebay but unless you find a pair that already match you will have to get them recovered anyway and they are not selling for cheap. I tried heating the metal bars on mine with a torch and bending them but the makeshift vise I was using was moving before I could get any deflection. I am not happy with the design. Seems like only a hunchback could fit with the seat upright.

Quite annoying since in the owners manual it still shows that they are adjustable.

Not sure if you can do it in these trucks, but in the 2010 Edge my wife used to have, I pulled out the headrests and turned them around and put them back in. Felt much better that way.

Mine ratchet forward and then will spring all the way back if you pull then all the way forward. A King Ranch trim thing maybe?
